Gwent Police are appealing for information following a robbery on St Mark’s Crescent, Newport.

The incident is reported to have happened on the junction of St Mark’s Crescent and Queen’s Hill Crescent at approximately 6.45pm on Friday 24th May 2019. The victim was approached by a man and threatened with what is believed to have been a screwdriver.

The man is described as being of slim build, approximately 20-years-old and wearing a dark jacket and a black woollen hat.

A brown leather bag containing house-keys, mobile phone, and a purse with an amount of cash inside were taken during the altercation. The victim was uninjured.

Officers would like to identify and speak to a man pictured on CCTV as he may have information which could assist in the investigation into this incident.
